Location and facilities
The European University School (EUS) in Sopot has been constantly improving its facilities since it was founded in 2003. The location of the EUS is very attractive: it is situated a few metres from the beach in Sopot-Kamienny Potok. Sopot is Poland’s most renowned resort on the Baltic Sea and, together with Gdynia and Gdansk, it forms a large conurbation called Trójmiasto (or Tri-City). The campus, at 25 Zamkowa Góra Street, is located in the midst of greenery, next to the AQUA PARK and the MIRAMAR hotel. It is a modern complex that has a number of spacious classrooms and auditoriums, a library with a reading room, a computer lab – all of them equipped with state-of-the-art multimedia paraphernalia. Besides, there is a large free parking lot as well as a pitch with changing rooms and bathrooms.
The campus is situated near public-transport facilities: one can easily get there by bus, trolleybus or commuter train (known as Rapid Urban Railway or SKM). Crucially, students can stay in one of the 28 double rooms in the hall of residence. All the rooms are fully furnished and have a bathroom and free wireless internet access. Physical activities take place in specialised amenities located in Tri-City. These include: the 100th Anniversary of Sopot Hall (where two basketball clubs – PROKOM and TREFL – play their matches), a swimming pool at the AQUA PARK, the OLIVIA sports and entertainment Hall and the swimming pool at the Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre.
